Before I started the program I had all kinds of things that I struggled with. Before I started this program I had:

(1) Pathetic sleep habits and patterns, going to bed after 10pm, sleeping with my phone playing audio or video to fall asleep and waking up multiple times throughout the night (2-3 am). I would want to nap throughout the day. This program taught me to create a sustainable and rhymic nightly routine that I now perform nightly which has taught my body that it is time for bed. I am sleeping 7-9 hours each night and wake up feeling refreshed each day. I also no longer need to take naps during the day.

(2) Poor diet / relationship with food which led me to drinking coffee on an empty stomach, reaching for pastries and no nutritional snacks at work because of failure to meal prep, and eating more or less out of the idea it would ‘assist’ with weight loss. This program has taught me that food is fuel, and I have an understanding of macros and how to build a plate of food. I am so much more conscious of what I put into my body and crave to only consume single ingredient nutrient dense foods as opposed to packeted snacks that say they have ‘protein’. I am not afraid to eat food that might be high in calories and I have learnt to listen to hunger cues, such as hunger or feeling satisfied and how different foods make my body feel.

(3) Fear of gym / hate working out which lead to inconsistent attendance at the gym, or resistance to even drive out of fear due to my lack of knowledge or structure in program. This program directed me to structure and resources that I can incorporate into my time at the gym which have shown results. Christa also taught me the concept of cycle syncing which has begun to create excitement as I practice it, as I get to rotate my workouts and have a range of activities that I am moving my body with throughout my cycle.

(4) Mindset was weight-loss, eat and train to lose weight and it has now become eat to fuel and nourish my body and train to make me strong! I have no desire to step on the scales (but I can) because I have learnt that the scale changes but the feeling that these habits has created do not compare to the number on the scale.

(5) No idea of toxic and non-toxic products. This program has taught me and caused me to be conscious and aware of how everything I put in my body has an impact on it, and I am now aware of ingredients, and ways I can swap common items with natural alternatives.

When I first started, my stomach hurt basically 24/7. I had missed periods, bad breath and couldn’t sleep well. Now all of that has changed. My stomach almost never hurts (unless I eat something icky). My breath doesn’t stick anymore and my periods have come back!!
